The property was perfectly situated on top of a hill, offering breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by the owner, who even took the time to show us around town and helped us with our shopping. The peaceful and tranquil atmosphere made it an ideal place for relaxation and meditation. The room was clean and well-equipped, including a cooking spot for those who prefer to prepare their own meals. Additionally, the presence of a pool was a welcome advantage during the summer months.
The remote location of the property made it inconvenient for quick trips to nearby restaurants or shops, as the road leading to it was difficult to maneuver. Furthermore, the lack of privacy due to the proximity of the apartments to each other was a drawback, as noise from other tenants could be quite disruptive.

This is a place for a slow and relaxing holiday. Up in the hills after driving on an unpaved road for 15 mins the castle offers a view of the surrounding countryside of the Chianti area. Greve in Chianti is a 15 mins walk away down hill and from there one cn catch the train into Florence. But one doesn't come here for Florence. It is peaceful and quiet and a place to be with nature. We mistaken it to be a short drive into Florence (it actually takes about an hour's drive); but we were more that glad that we came here as the nearby villages of Panzora and Greve were quaint and had excellence restaurants.

Beautiful location central for chianti area
driving instructions on your website are incorrect so very hard to find even with satnav as the access road is a very long, hilly, rutted, stony and unmade muddy track which is sometimes inaccessible in wet weather.also the apartment did have a terrace as advertised but this was seperate from the actual apartment so difficult to use ,up and down stairs and across a track, very disappointing. They also advertise free wifi and tried to charge me 5 euros a day to use it!! I had to produce evidence on my booking to show it had been advertised as free. Only one member of staff was ever there, a housekeeper, who cleaned the rooms on changeover but was never around at any other time, reception/office was always closed

It's a budget villa, so we don't expect much facilities. But, I would like to make suggestion to the villa/ hotel regarding the signage. It's rare and the letter is so fade. We arrive there at night time, so it's very difficult for us to reach the villa. However, thanks a lot to the staff who still answer my call until 10 p.m.

Spacious and well equipped apartments, beautiful architecture, breathtaking views and surroundings. I wish we stayed more. Only for people with their own vehicle. Be prepared for the nature and its wildlife.
The dirt road which connects the apartments with the main road needs maintenance.

As women traveling alone, we felt extremely safe and comfortable at the stone cottage in Tuscany with a beautiful view of the hills and orchards. The on-site manager was helpful and the kitchen was great for preparing meals. We enjoyed walking to the nearby village of Montefioralle and wine tasting in Greve.
Felt extremely welcome, nothing to complain about.

It was spacious and clean. What we liked best was the location, the views and te country side.
In their web page, it was not made totally clear that they did not provide any food. A bit difficult to find when arriving at night.

The value for money at Castello Di Montegonzi Guest House was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and had a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills. The location was perfect for hiking and exploring the vineyards and olive groves. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving us lifts to and from Greve when needed.
Breakfast items could have been better with some additional condiments like salt, pepper, sugar, and olive oil.

Hotel was very nice, we loved the place and the view was fantastic. Room was excellent, comfortable and spoling. Hotel building is simply fantastic.
Location: need to drive on off-road for 10 minutes (we liked it, but not everyone will). Advertized location is incorrect. Hotel is near Panzano. We had to ring the landlord for directions.

The facilities were very comfortable and clean with a nice quiet location and a great view. The host was very kind and helpful
We didnt mind but if you dont have a car be prepared for a hike into town each day steep uphill on the way back.

My partner and I stayed at Castello Di Montegonzi for a peaceful getaway. The mountaintop location was simply breathtaking, offering stunning views of the green mountains and vineyards of Tuscany. Our cozy little guesthouse felt like a home away from home, with a kitchen, sitting area, and a lovely outdoor space. The staff were friendly and helpful, even recommending an excellent local restaurant. The privacy of each guesthouse allowed us to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.
Totally recommend this hotel.

This hotel offers incredible views of the Tuscan hills, creating a picturesque and relaxing atmosphere. Guests can enjoy the peacefulness while sitting by the pool or taking a walk around the beautiful surroundings. The friendly and helpful staff ensure that all your needs are met, whether it's providing necessary amenities or offering assistance in getting to town. The traditional and historical charm of the accommodations, like the private villa or castle quarters, adds to the overall experience.
The WiFi coverage is limited to the office area with a slow connection, which might be inconvenient for those needing privacy or solitude while using the internet.
